Burial at sea is recognised, not only within the sailing community, but, considering Great Britain's naval history, as a tradition that permeates all communities.
To avoid risks to the environment or distress to families DEFRA recommends the scattering of cremation ashes at sea, which can be undertaken without a Food & Environment Protection Act (FEPA) licence.
Plymouth Boat Charter have the sensitivity and understanding to be there in your time of need and will in a sympathetic manner help arrange the scattering of Ashes.
If required our in house photographer, can at additional cost, accompany the boat and take photographs of the ceremony.
We can, on request, provide light refreshments for those accompanying the Ashes.
